Belize, Central America

In 1924 British adventurer Frederick Mitchell-Hedges traveled here together with his daughter Anna to explore the ruins of the traditional Mayan city of Lubaantun. One afternoon Anna climbed to the highest of a crumbling pyramid, hoping to visualize the ocean. it completely was high noon and she was at the highest, and also the way the sun came in, the way the rocks had moved in this there was merely alittle opening and also the light from the sun went through and it hit the best of the skull, and she spent and she's all excited. She said "There's someone in there with a flashlight."Anna's father and others in their party were overlarge inside within the tiny opening of the pyramid, in order that they tied a rope around anna and lowered  her into the hole. once she came back up, anna command the top of a wierd crystal skull. A second search uncovered an identical jaw. The two-piece skull weighed eleven pounds, seven ounces and seemed to be sculpted from one piece of quartz. it is the only crystal skull that is sort of perfectly humanoid. it is the only crystal skull that has a detachable jaw.
